Project Skyloft

For those who are wondering what “Project skyloft” is; Skyloft is a temp name for the name game concept I’m working on at the moment. I’m NOT going to make the actual game cause I don’t have the team or equiptment or software ect to actually make the game, but what I’m doing is writing it as a concept to how I would like the game to look like and how I would like it to work.

So far I’ve got a basic concept down already for how I want it too look but I’ve not done any art work as off yet and currently working on some idea samples.

I’ve put some idea’s together at the moment which might be some interest but there nothing which I can support as a perminant idea.

I’ve design the game concept to be ran on the Xbox 360 so if confused about the pad controls, then you should know now

Skyloft Idea’s

Flying pack

  • Start with a basic flying pack but only does fly for a limited time.
  • Opens up mechanically, opens at a medium speed and unfolds with a steam punk style.
  • Has to be flied manually
  • Runs on steam canisters
  • Needs fixing if jet is broken

Upgrades

-      Jet packs – based on top

-      Stronger equipment

-      Quicker mechanics

-      Hold more steam for flying

-      Wing stabilises

-      Upgradable Parts

-      Customizable colours / parts

Flying Controllers

Taking Off

Taking off – Hold down RT, Push Left stick forward and then press A on edge.

-      Character dives off the edge and once in mid depth spreads out arms and straightens legs then gets ready to deploy pack.

-      Once character is in position “A” symbol comes up and then the pack opens up.

Flying

Flapping manuallyLT / RT together

SteeringLeft analogue stick

Look aroundRight analogue Stick

Putting Pack away – “B” (while mid-flight)

BoostersLB + RB – By pressing LB or RB separately it’ll boost the pack Left or Right.

Currently in the Making is the PDF portfolio for the project which would feature everything which been done and will be like a small information pack
